Mary Jane W. of Brunswick, GA had a problem with her fireplace chimney. The brick had cracked after Hurricane Matthew passed through the area and the chimney leaned away from the home. Mary was concerned for the safety of her grandchildren, not wanting it to fall. Mary did searched for ways to stabilize her chimney and read reviews for Lowcountry Foundation Repair on HomeAdvisor. She called for a free inspection.
Two steel helical piers were screwed into the ground at the base of the chimney and connected to steel foundation brackets which were attached to the structure. This below-grade solution hydraulically lifted the chimney back into place. The solution was perfect and it was concealed from sight. Mary’s chimney was straight and her grandchildren safe to play on the patio again.
