Teresa N. of Lyons, GA purchased a home with a foundation problem. The floor was not level, it was slanted. Teresa called Lowcountry Foundation Repair to get a free quote.
We inspected the crawl space foundation and identified the problem. The main beam supporting the home was sagging. That’s why the floor was not level. We also noticed the corner of the foundation was sinking. To fix the home, a SmartJack System was installed as well as a Push Pier System.
SmartJacks are custom-cut to height, galvanized steel crawl space support columns. They are capable of supporting loads greater than 60,000 pounds. Those were installed in the crawl space. The Push Pier System was installed on the exterior of the foundation wall to stabilize and lift the footer of the home. The push piers were driven down to load bearing strata where the weight of the home could be transferred to prevent it from ever sinking again.
In Lyons, GA, a home struggled with uneven grading, causing sinking support columns and sagging floors. We installed the SmartJack system, achieving dramatic improvements. The after photo showcases a stable, secure foundation

This Okatie, SC homeowner was trying to sell her home, but knew that her crawl space needed repair before putting it on the market. She called Lowcountry Foundation Repair to schedule a free appointment with an inspector.
Our inspector Brian suggested that the crawl space needed to be encapsulated with our CleanSpace product, as well as installing a dehumidifier. Our CleanSpace isolates the home from the earth completely and reduces humidity levels. To keep the humidity levels low, we installed our SaniDry Sedona, which is a dehumidifier that maintains the relative humidity in the crawl space to prevent moisture and microbial growth.
When the project was complete, the homeowner was able to sell her home at a better price, where as a home with a dirty crawl space can depreciate the home's value by 10%. This homeowner was thrilled!
