One bright and sunny afternoon, Bob L. of Ellabell, Ga left his house to go play golf. As he began pulling out of his driveway, he noticed he was missing grass in one area. He parked his car, walked over to the spot and much to his surprise, he realized he had an erosion problem.

Bob called Lowcountry Basement Systems and described what he saw. Design Specialist, Dan Friesen went to Bob’s house and looked at his driveway. Dan noticed the missing dirt and recommended PolyLevel® to support the driveway where the erosion took place.

The project was scheduled and took an hour to complete. PolyLevel® foam was injected under the slab to fill any voids and stabilize the concrete. Bob felt relieved that his small problem was fixed and it didn’t turn into something bigger.

Heavy rains could mean only one thing for Bob L. of Ellabell, GA, a wet garage. Every time the sky turned grey, his garage would flood. The water would enter the garage and run down the driveway. This homeowner had a bumpy driveway at his Bluffton, SC home. Some parts of the driveway had sunk, other parts of the driveway had been lifted by tree roots. The entire driveway was an eyesore and a dangerous tripping hazard. Burton saw an ad in the ValPak and called Lowcountry Basement Systems about their concrete repair services.

Lowcountry Basement Systems sent an inspector to Burton’s home. The inspector recommended fixing the driveway rather than replacing it. PolyLevel, a modified geotechnical polyurethane foam could be injected under the driveway through small holes to lift and level the concrete, explained the inspector. Fixing the concrete would save the homeowner a lot of money.

Burton decided to have the work done by Lowcountry Basement Systems. In less than one day the driveway was level and the tripping hazard removed. He was thrilled!

This Richmond Hill, GA homeowner had cracked, uneven and pitted concrete around his pool deck, causing a tripping hazard for his family. Some areas had sunk 7 inches. Donnie was worried that someone could get hurt while playing around the pool so he called Lowcountry Basement Systems for help.

The Lowcountry Basement Systems inspector suggested using PolyLevel to lift the concrete. The project would take less than a day and would cause minimal interruption. A few small holes, dime-sized, were drilled in the concrete so PolyLevel could be injected under the slab. PolyLevel is a two-part expanding foam that can lift concrete slabs, eliminating tripping hazards.

The pool deck was fixed by Lowcountry Basement Systems. Donnie and his family were able to enjoy the pool again safely. They were thrilled!

Chris B. of Richmond Hill, GA had a moisture problem in his crawl space. Although he previously had a plastic sheet put down in his crawl space, mold continued to grow on the wooden joists, supporting his subfloor. Chris decided to call Lowcountry Basement Systems and get their professional opinion on the issue.

Lowcountry Basement Systems removed the failing plastic, removed debris and installed a Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Chris’s crawl space. The Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System sealed the crawl space off from the earth, removed moisture from the foundation and reduced the humidity in the crawl space. With the crawl space properly encapsulated, the mold under Chris’s home went into a dormant state.

Tom N. of Richmond Hill GA noticed a crack in his foundation wall one afternoon. After doing some research on foundation repair, Tom discovered other signs of foundation problems included sticking windows and doors. Tom didn't have those problems and he didn't want them so he called Lowcountry Basement Systems to fix the problem before it got worse.

Lowcountry Basement Systems installed a Push Pier System to stabilize the cracked foundation. Four push piers were needed for the job. First four holes were dug, large steel brackets were placed under the footer of the home and steel piers were pushed into the ground until load bearing strata was reached. 

The piers were attached to the brackets. More pressure was added and the brackets lifted the footer, lifting the foundation, closing the crack in the foundation. The weight of the home was then transferred to the load bearing strata below.

Tom was happy to have his foundation fixed before it became a bigger problem.  

A homeowner of an Ellabell, GA home was experiencing some issues with the floor in the home. The floor was noticeably unlevel, soft in some areas, and the bathroom floor was unsafe to walk on. Our inspector found that a third of the floor space of the home was compromised by termite damages and the bathroom floor was rotten.
