Home Foundation Repair Photo Album: Messy Crawl Space with Settling Pier Issue

This home in Savannah, GA had a settlement issue with one of the piers in the crawl space leading to an unlevel spot in the floor above. The crawl space was also a mess, with wet moldy insulation falling down from the subfloor. Our team was able to help by removing the debris, covering the ground with a layer of drainage matting to aid drainage, and installing a SmartJack to support the area where a pier was settling. Later on, once the homeowner has the resources available, the next step is to fully encapsulate the crawl space to control the high humidity level, but drainage matting is a start - as it is the first layer of the system.
