Crack Above Doorway
This crack is an indication that the floor is sagging under the doorway.
Elevated Sunroom
Here is an image of the settling sunroom from the outside. SmartJacks will be installed underneath to support the floor.
Unsupported Area of the Floor
This is the location of the doorway from underneath. Additional support using SmartJacks was required in this area to stabilize the floor above.
Tamping Down Rock
It is not only important that the right materials are used to support the home, but installed correctly as well. Engineered fill rock must be compressed and the base plate must be level on top of the tamped rock.
Levelling the SmartJacks
Support posts must be level to effectively support the load above without toppling over. Often we come across support posts or concrete pillars that are tilting from not being installed correctly or the supports are not designed to effectively handle the soil conditions.
