Floor Level Measurement
Our inspector used a laser level to measure and diagram the slope in the floor to know exactly what areas to support.
Crack Above Doorframe
The sinking floor was causing a crack to appear above the kitchen doorway in this home. Over time this will get worse if not supported or stabilized.
Area of Floor Settlement
The concrete block piers located here were settling into the ground, causing the floor to settle along with it. SmartJacks can be used supplementally here to permanently stabilize the area.
Base of SmartJacks
This is what the base of the installed SmartJacks looks like before the vapor barrier is re-sealed. There is a stable base of engineered fill rock and then a base plate on top to hold the jack post in place.
After SmartJack Installation
After the SmartJacks are installed, the vapor barrier is re-sealed. Now the floor that was settling in this area is supported & stabilized.
