Symptoms of Settlement
One of the first signs typically noticed by a homeowner when their foundation is settling is drywall cracks. This homeowner had small cracks appearing by the corners of her doorway.
Sinking Slab
This homeowner really became concerned about her foundation when she noticed large cracks forming in her garage. She also noticed the garage was starting to sink towards the middle, and believes that the dirt wasn't packed well when the home was built, ultimately leading to foundation settlement.
Slab Pier Installation
To lift the settling concrete slab, Lowcountry Basement Systems uses the slab pier system. The slab pier system is used to stabilize and/or lift settled concrete floor slabs.
Completed Pier Installation
After the piers are installed, the voids in the holes are filled with grout mixture or our PolyLevel polyurethane foam and then patched over with concrete.
