Residential Multi-Foundation Support System in Macon, GA
Challenge
Mr. Tanner, owner of a home in Macon, GA requested a free inspection of his foundation. Lowcountry Basement Systems’ inspector, Brian Hunter interviewed Mr. Tanner. After the conversation, Brian Hunter used his laser level to measure the floor in every room. It was discovered that Mr. Tanner had underestimated his foundation problem. Two parts of his house had sunk; not one, as he had reported.
Solution
To remedy the sinking area at the entrance of his home, three HP288 push piers were installed. Pressures ranged from 5,200 to 6,000 psi. Lift was achieved; the floors were leveled.
Two 10 ft., and one 3 ft. SmartJacks were installed in the crawl space. Each SmartJack is capable of supporting 60,000 lbs. of pressure. Lift was achieved; the floor was leveled.
SmartJacks and push piers are made with galvanized steel. A 25-year-warrenty on all foundation work was given to Mr. Tanner after his two-day project was completed.
