The SmartJack System
Due to an insufficient support system in this customer's crawl space, the floors above began to sag and the drywall began to crack. To permanently support and level the structure, we installed the SmartJack Support System.
Interior Cracks
An insufficient support system for the structure causes cracks in the interior walls of the home.
Before Support System Installation
Sometimes, crawl space support pillars are built on soils that are not strong enough to support the weight of your home. Over time, these supports will begin to sink into the soil. As they do, the floor they hold up will sink as well, leading to uneven floors and interior wall cracking.
Preparing Solid Base for SmartJack System
The crew digs a hole in the soil to create a solid base for the support system to be installed on.
Concrete Base
The crew fills the hole with concrete and allows it to dry completely before installing the SmartJack System on top. This provides a solid base for the system and prevents the supports from sinking into the soil.
