Wood Moisture and Mold
There was white mold growth in some areas of the crawl space. The wood moisture reading was 29 percent on the moldy wood, an extremely high reading - which would explain the mold.
Relative Humidity
The air in the crawl space measured at 82 percent humidity, a high reading. This crawl space really needed to be sealed off from moisture.
Microbial Growth
When moisture collects in the crawl space, it feeds mold, allowing it to spread.
