Old Vapor Barrier
This homeowner was experiencing a musty, dirty crawl space with debris spread throughout the floor. She contacted Lowcountry Basement Systems to schedule a free appointment with one of our inspectors.

SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Our specialist carefully inspected the crawl space and suggested that she encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace, a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels. He also suggested she install a SaniDry Sedona, a dehumidifier that maintains the relative humidity in the crawl space to prevent moisture and microbial growth.

SmartDrain
A SmartDrain was also suggested to be installed with the encapsulation, which is used in crawl spaces that would not otherwise have a sump pump installed. It prevents plumbing leaks from going undetected and filling up the encapsulated crawl space with water.

SmartJack Installation
The crawl space was lacking support in one area, so the inspector suggested she install our SmartJack, a galvanized steel column support that lifts sagging floor joists.
