A homeowner in Hilton Head Island, SC struggled with a water intrusion issues in their basement. It was important to them that the space be kept healthy, clean and dry, so they contacted our office for assistance! We used CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate the space after removing old and water-damaged materials. The vapor barrier was sealed in place to prevent future water damage. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump and our interior perimeter WaterGuard drainage system to ensure a dry basement. To keep humidity levels low, a SaniDry Sedona was tied into the drainage system. These products work in harmony to maintain a dry basement environment. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier acts as a shield against moisture entering through walls and floors, while the WaterGuard drainage system directs any water away from the foundation. The TripleSafe sump pump efficiently removes any collected water, and the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier ensures that humidity levels remain consistently low, preventing mold and mildew growth.

Before Vapor Barrier

The crew had to remove the old liner before fastening CleanSpace to the walls, floor, and around the columns.

Old Sump System

Sump system that no longer worked would be removed to install our high-performance TripleSafe Sump Pump.

Water Intrusion

Water leaking into the basement at the wall/floor joint caused efflorescence to form on the walls. This white, powdery substance forms when water that leaked through the walls dissolves, leaving behind salt deposits. This is a sure sign the basement has a water intrusion issue.

Interior Drainage System

Our WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage system collects water from the basement walls and direct it to the sump pump for removal.

Sealed Basement

CleanSpace fastened to the basement walls, floor and support columns. This 20-mil thick liner prevents moisture from entering and mold growth. Additionally, this space can be safelky used for extra storage without the worry of water damaging their personal belongings.

Dehumidification

The SaniDry Sedona is a pint-sized powerhouse that will remove moisture from the air, maintain healthy humidity levels, remove musty odors and prevent mold growth.
