Signs of Water Intrusion
The corner of the crawl space here shows signs of water seeping through the brick into the crawl space, indicated by the white chalky efflorescence and damp soil.
Water Puddles
There were puddles of water that had pooled up on top of the unsealed plastic liner from seeping in through the walls.
During Waterproofing System Installation
Trenches were dug out around the perimeter of the crawl space and a specialized drainage pipe called Hydrolink was used. The pipe has a special filter surrounding it to prevent clogging from dirt.
After Installation
The trench with the HydroLink is then backfilled with gravel. The perimeter drainage makes its way to a sump pump to be pumped out of the space.
SmartSump Pumps Out Water
The perimeter drainage system drains the water that enters the crawl space into the sump pump to be pumped out of the crawl space away from the home.
