This home in Savannah, GA had foundation issues. The homeowner contacted Lowcountry Foundation Repair with concerns and we sent out one of our inspectors to do a free inspection and custom quote to fix the foundation issues this home was facing. The inspector found that a corner of the front of the house had settled. There were also several broken floor joists in the crawlspace due to long-term high moisture levels weakening the wood until it eventually snapped under the weight. Our inspector recommended replacing the broken joists and reinforcing others, then having the crawlspace encapsulated and having SmartJacks installed. Lastly, they recommended piers be installed to stabilize the settling corner of the home, stopping settlement in its tracks.
