Before Encapsulation
This crawl space had high moisture starting to cause issues with the floor. A CleanSpace Encapsulation will solve the issue for good.
Moisture Rising Up, Insulation Falling
As the moisture from outside air and ground rises up, the insulation collects that moisture. High moisture levels lead to heavy insulation that falls down from the subfloor.
Subfloor Mold
Some areas of the subfloor had mold growth from high moisture in the crawl space.
More Mold
Another type of mold was also growing in another area of the crawl space.
Encapsulated Crawl Space
The CleanSpace Encapsulation System is uniquely designed to work long-term with full protection from moisture. Other vapor barrier systems may not consider all sources of moisture like groundwater, humid air, and plumbing leaks. Groundwater is drained & pumped out, humid air is monitored and dehumidified, and plumbing leaks will set off an alarm on our sump pump system.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
The crawl space air is monitored and controlled with a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep moisture levels low, preventing mold and wood rot.
Sealed Properly
Many other vapor barrier systems are not fully sealed or do not use appropriately durable materials. A system designed to keep water out must be able to not tear easily.
Openings to Outside Air Sealed
Openings to outside air are sealed with Foamax wall barrier, insulative spray foam, and the vapor barrier as well that goes up the wall.
Sealed Crawl Space Door
The door to the crawl space must also be designed to keep out moisture.
