One Community: Lowcountry Basement Systems Fixes Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire's Sidewalk
A few weeks ago, Lowcountry Basement Systems held a contest with the Savannah Morning News to give back to the community and improve the lives of others. We searched for a sidewalk in need of repair using our PolyLevel service. PolyLevel is a lightweight two-part expanding structural grade polymer engineered to lift concrete.
The sidewalk in front of the Savannah, GA Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire (RMHC’s) building had slowly been cracking and sinking over the past few years. The areas became tripping hazards for their visitors! RMHC thought about replacing the walkway, but one day they saw the ad on the Savannah Morning News website for the Walk This Way contest.
RMHC took pictures of their sidewalk and sent them in. A few weeks later we surprised them; Rob and Nancy Videon choosing RMHC as the winners.
This week our Concrete Repair Team Leader, Milton Pate, and owner of Lowcountry Basement Systems, Nancy Videon went to the Ronald McDonald House to lift the sinking sidewalk and eliminate the tripping hazards that bothered the visitors. In a few hours the sidewalk was fixed and looked amazing!
One of our values at Lowcountry Basement Systems is “One Community”. We are humbled and grateful for the opportunities put before us, and we believe reciprocity is important. We are honored to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
