Lowcountry Basement Systems Supports Make-A-Wish Foundation
Hotrods! Fast cars! Motorcycles! Beer and Bratwurst were all part of the 7th Annual Effingham Oktoberfest last weekend. The event was the first of it’s kind; a pairing of German celebrations and the RockaBilly Car and Motorcycle show at Freedom Park in Rincon, GA. Lowcountry Basement Systems was there supporting the benefactor of the car and motorcycle show, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Victor Gaylord, the organizer of the show, said Lowcountry Basements Systems was one of the first companies he reached out to when he decided to have the event. As strong members of our community, Lowcountry Basement Systems was excited to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation through this opportunity. Local business owners Rob and Nancy Videon sponsored the “Best Wheels” awards and also rented a booth to introduce our crawl space, foundation repair, and concrete leveling services to people as they enjoyed their day.
Before the event took place, Rob fell in love with the idea of helping children. “I love to help people. That’s the business we’re in. We help people all the time protect their home, their largest investment. I can’t think of a better way to help someone, especially a child than to lift their spirits. Even if it only lasts a second. The smile on any children’s face is worth it to me. I hate that they are in the predicament that they are in, but I want to help, and this is a way we can do that.”
Amongst the good food and amazing cars, Lowcountry Basement Systems made many friends over the weekend. Here are a few photos from the event.
