Helical Piles Secure Brick Wall at Bonaire, GA Home

Challenge

Frank of Bonaire, GA had a problem in his backyard. His brick fence started leaning two years ago. He had called other companies for help but none would go out to his house. Frank planned on selling his home in the next five to 10 years, and this would be a problem for him during the negotiation.

One day, Frank just happened to see a Lowcountry Foundation Repair truck in Bonaire with a picture of a failing foundation. Frank followed the truck and jotted down the phone number. After a short call, Lowcountry Foundation Repair sent an inspector to Frank’s home.

Solution

The inspector, Brian Hunter, spent three hours with Frank and recommended stabilizing the brick wall under the footer using helical piles. The fence would require 12 helical piles to be driven at various parts along the fence.

After the digging, preparation, and installation of the piles, a simultaneous lift at all brackets was performed using hydraulic pressure. The fence was stabilized and brought back to level.

Frank was very grateful Lowcountry Foundation Repair was able to save his fence and his real estate deal.
